Worked on the SpeciesFileGroup/taxonworks repository to deliver enhanced user guidance for two core workflows, focusing on improving onboarding and reducing input errors. Developed and integrated descriptive help texts for input fields in the Project Vocabulary Task and implemented a help system for navigating the Browse Collection Object interface. The approach emphasized maintainable front end development using Vue.js and JavaScript, with Rails-based UI changes and clear, concise UX copywriting. All updates were delivered through small, cohesive commits with clear messaging, prioritizing usability and data quality. The work addressed user experience challenges by clarifying inputs and streamlining navigation for end users.
