Contributed to the jdx/mise repository by enhancing both documentation and backend functionality over a two-month period. Focused initially on improving developer onboarding and security by authoring a comprehensive Markdown guide detailing the use of the MISE_GITLAB_TOKEN environment variable for authenticating downloads from private GitLab repositories. Subsequently, implemented backend changes in Rust to extend the asset matcher’s compatibility with Windows packaging, specifically enabling detection of mingw-w64 toolchains. This update streamlined packaging workflows and reduced manual intervention for Windows users. Work demonstrated a methodical approach to both documentation clarity and cross-platform backend development, emphasizing maintainability and user experience improvements.
