In June 2025, Lchr developed Rust code generation for the fsdb and fsdb_config components within the facebook/fboss repository, enabling their integration with the Rust thrift sink in the fboss-build-info system. This work involved updating the BUCK build system to support Rust code generation, which facilitates interoperability between Rust and other backend components. Using Rust, Thrift, and backend development skills, Lchr focused on feature delivery and infrastructure improvements rather than bug fixes. The project established a foundation for future cross-language integration, demonstrating depth in build system enhancement and backend architecture, while addressing the evolving needs of Rust-based development workflows.
