Worked on the grafana/mimir repository to address a key monitoring challenge in heterogeneous environments. Focused on improving the Mimir Tenants dashboard, the developer implemented a fix to ensure accurate legend labeling for non-Kubernetes deployments by updating the legend rendering logic to use per_instance_label instead of relying on pod names. This adjustment reduced ambiguity in dashboard displays and enhanced clarity for users monitoring multiple deployment types. The work leveraged skills in DevOps, Grafana, and monitoring, with Jsonnet used to manage dashboard configurations. The result was more reliable and precise monitoring across diverse environments, supporting better operational visibility and troubleshooting.
