Worked on the open-feature/flagd repository to enhance operational control during API deprecation by introducing a new toggle in the Sync Service. Developed a command-line flag, implemented in Go, that allows users to disable the deprecated getMetadata endpoint, thereby reducing the risk associated with ongoing changes. The solution involved updating CLI argument parsing, integrating the flag into runtime service configuration, and conditioning the endpoint’s availability based on the new setting. Leveraged skills in API design, CLI development, and gRPC to ensure seamless integration and maintainability. This targeted feature improved flexibility for users managing metadata requests during the deprecation period.
