Worked on the apache/stormcrawler repository to deliver targeted proxy management enhancements, focusing on improving retrieval efficiency and proxy reliability. Refactored the MultiProxyManager component by replacing a linear scan with a lookup map, enabling faster and more efficient proxy retrieval. Enhanced the SCProxy class by implementing equals and hashCode methods, ensuring reliable proxy comparisons and preventing duplicate entries. Streamlined the codebase by removing unused methods from ProxyUtils, reducing maintenance overhead. All changes were linked to specific pull requests and commits for traceability. Utilized Java and object-oriented programming principles, with an emphasis on software refactoring to improve maintainability and performance.
