In December 2024, Leo Liang enhanced cloud runtime configurability in the atlassian/atlascode repository by designing and implementing a new 'arch' attribute within the pipelines-schema.json. This addition enabled architecture-specific cloud deployments, addressing the need for clearer deployment policies and reducing misconfiguration risks. Leo applied skills in DevOps, cloud architecture, and schema design, leveraging JSON and YAML to define flexible, reproducible deployment options. The work demonstrated a thoughtful approach to aligning deployment processes with diverse cloud architectures, improving governance and consistency across environments. While no major bugs were fixed, the feature delivered measurable improvements in deployment flexibility and operational clarity.
