During November 2025, Siming contributed to the scharffc/NameandFavFood repository by delivering a focused data-entry feature that added a new profile entry with Dumpling as the favorite food. The work centered on updating the Markdown-based list.md file, ensuring the single source of truth for profile data remained accurate and traceable. Using Git for version control and collaboration, Siming’s approach emphasized lightweight data modeling without altering application code. This update improved data completeness for downstream analytics and reporting, with minimal deployment risk. The scope was intentionally narrow, reflecting a careful, incremental enhancement to support future onboarding of additional profiles.
