Worked on the okta-signin-widget repository to deliver a robust error handling upgrade focused on improving user feedback during network and server issues. Enhanced the error taxonomy to distinguish between network errors, server errors, and parse errors, providing actionable messages to users and reducing confusion. Utilized JavaScript and TypeScript to implement these changes, ensuring the widget is more resilient to unexpected responses. Added comprehensive tests to validate the new error handling logic, particularly for non-JSON responses and fluctuating network conditions. This work aligned with OKTA-1116854 requirements and laid the foundation for improved observability and stability in front end development.
