Worked on stabilizing gesture interactions in Android WebView within the flutter/flutter repository, focusing on resolving issues that blocked multi-touch gestures after zoom operations. Addressed the problem by refining MotionEvent handling in Java to accurately track pointer counts, ensuring gestures remained responsive across various zoom scenarios. Developed and integrated automated tests to validate multi-touch behavior, enhancing reliability for web content interaction on Android devices. This targeted bug fix reduced user-reported issues and improved the overall user experience. The work demonstrated a strong command of Android development and mobile development practices, emphasizing careful debugging and comprehensive test coverage to maintain platform stability.
