October 2025 monthly summary for PrefectHQ/prefect. Key feature delivered: Kubernetes observer configurability, enabling/disabling the Kubernetes observer and controlling replication of pod events. Implemented lifecycle tests to verify correct start/stop behavior under different configurations. Commit ee25381d0261236bdd4d5d32731399c6e1485575 (Add options to disable the Kubernetes worker observer and pod event replication (#19282)). This work reduces unnecessary event processing, lowers resource usage, and improves reliability of Kubernetes integration.
