Worked on the 0xPlaygrounds/rig repository to implement automatic prompt caching for Anthropic, introducing time-to-live support to distinguish between cached and newly created tokens. Leveraged Rust for backend development, focusing on API integration and performance optimization. Enhanced the Usage struct to separately track cached and created input tokens, improving resource management in GenAI workflows. Updated telemetry spans and provider implementations to report detailed per-GenAI metrics, aligning with GenAI semantic conventions and fixing OTel GenAI semantic convention issues. These changes improved both observability and compatibility across GenAI providers, resulting in more efficient performance and better monitoring of token usage patterns.
