During August 2025, Lieshout focused on enhancing the build system configuration for the radiocosmology/draco repository. They addressed the need for reliable DNS resolution by integrating the dnspython library into the project’s pyproject.toml, ensuring DNS lookups function correctly during both build and runtime. This work involved careful dependency management using TOML and a deep understanding of build system requirements. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature delivered improved the project’s readiness for DNS-dependent components and downstream integration. Lieshout’s contribution provided a robust foundation for future development, emphasizing long-term reliability and maintainability in the build process.
