During October 2025, Likot180 focused on enhancing the umap repository by delivering a comprehensive Polish localization update. Working primarily in Python and leveraging Django’s localization tooling, Likot180 updated the django.po file to translate key user interface strings related to map accessibility, ownership, and status, thereby improving usability for Polish-speaking users. The work centered on internationalization and localization, with careful management of translation workflows using gettext and version control. By aligning core UI elements for Polish language coverage and documenting the process, Likot180 strengthened the project’s readiness for future multilingual support, addressing accessibility gaps and supporting broader user inclusivity.
