Worked on expanding the KOReader User Guide’s accessibility by initiating Arabic localization within the koreader/koreaderhub.io.git repository. Leveraged Weblate to establish a structured translation workflow, progressing Arabic coverage to 3.4 percent with 68 out of 1951 strings translated. Focused on internationalization and localization best practices, utilizing PO files to manage and track translation progress efficiently. This effort laid the groundwork for ongoing Arabic support, enabling incremental quality assurance and smoother future updates. By integrating translation and localization skills, the work addressed the need for broader language support, ultimately reducing support overhead and enhancing the user experience for Arabic-speaking readers.
