Worked on enhancing reliability and resource lifecycle management for subnetworks in the GoogleCloudPlatform/magic-modules repository. Developed and delivered the Subnetworks Draining State Management feature, introducing a new draining status field to prevent subnetworks in a draining state from being selected for new node pools. Updated configuration logic and expanded test coverage to ensure the draining status is respected during resource provisioning and lifecycle transitions. Leveraged Go and Terraform to implement these changes, with supporting configuration updates in YAML and Markdown. The work focused on improving cloud infrastructure automation and maintaining robust handling of subnetwork states throughout the provisioning process.
