Worked on maintaining and improving the Phispy package within the bioconda-recipes repository, focusing on enhancing cross-platform stability and compatibility with upstream dependencies. Addressed a critical build issue by upgrading Phispy to version 5.0.6, refining build configurations, and expanding the dependency set to include numpy, setuptools, and wheel. Utilized Python and YAML to manage package metadata and ensure reproducible builds across environments. Efforts included removing restrictive dependency bounds and resolving macOS-specific compatibility problems, resulting in more reliable continuous integration workflows. The work emphasized robust dependency management and package maintenance within the bioinformatics ecosystem, supporting smoother downstream usage.
