Worked on backend development for the ping1jing2/sglang repository, focusing on enhancing the PrefillDelayer component to address issues with dynamic programming (DP) and prefill delay. Delivered a targeted bug fix that enabled DP-aware prefill delay and improved handling of DP-attention changes by dynamically adjusting batch sizing and buffer initialization. This Python-based solution ensured that batch processing remained accurate and reliable when DP and prefill delay features were enabled, reducing the risk of mis-sequencing and stalled batches. The work improved throughput and stability for DP-driven workloads, demonstrating a strong grasp of Python and backend systems engineering principles.
