Worked on the instructlab/instructlab repository to enhance backend process runtime display by removing the previous 100-hour cap and introducing a new formatting approach that presents durations exceeding 24 hours as days and hours. Addressed a longstanding bug by implementing a focused Python patch that improved the readability and accuracy of runtime data in both user interfaces and logs. This change enables users to interpret extended runtimes more effectively, supporting better capacity planning and operational triage. Maintained compatibility with existing analytics and displays, ensuring no API changes were required, and demonstrated strong backend development skills through clear documentation and precise commit practices.
