Worked on the juicedata/juicefs repository to enhance Kerberos authentication flexibility by introducing configurability for the PA-FX-FAST protocol. Implemented a feature allowing users to disable PA-FX-FAST via an environment variable, addressing compatibility needs in diverse deployment environments. The technical approach involved updating the Kerberos client initialization to recognize and apply custom settings, as well as registering the new configuration variable within the system. This work was carried out primarily in Go and Java, focusing on backend development and authentication protocols. The changes enable administrators to tailor Kerberos behavior, improving deployment options where PA-FX-FAST support may be limited.
