Lasse Liehu delivered a Fluent localization upgrade for the FilterListDialog in the thunderbird/thunderbird-l10n repository, focusing on improving usability and accessibility across multiple locales. He migrated existing strings to the FTL language, introduced new labels, and added access keys to enhance keyboard navigation. This work streamlined the localization pipeline and reduced future maintenance by aligning with Thunderbird’s modernization efforts. Lasse applied his skills in UI/UX design and localization, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure consistency and accessibility. The project addressed both internationalization and user experience, laying groundwork for future UI updates while maintaining high standards of code quality and maintainability.
