Worked on the alibaba/GraphScope repository to enhance the reliability of the Interactive Engine by refining its completion semantics and expanding test coverage. Focused on ensuring that a task is only marked as finished after both execution and all peer communications are fully completed, addressing subtle issues in distributed job coordination. Introduced an end-to-end test to validate timeout handling for large or long-running jobs, supporting graceful degradation and predictable system behavior. Applied a targeted bug fix to the check-ready logic, reducing flaky tests and improving user experience. Utilized Rust and TOML, emphasizing system programming and robust testing practices throughout the process.
