During December 2025, Lodolo Roro developed a reusable date formatting function for the MUNQuantSociety/MQSMaster repository, focusing on standardizing Yahoo date strings in scraped articles. Using Python and leveraging skills in data scraping and date manipulation, Lodolo integrated this formatter directly into the scraping pipeline to ensure consistent date outputs across all processed articles. This approach improved the readability and reliability of time-based data, reducing the need for manual normalization and supporting more accurate downstream analytics. The work demonstrated a targeted solution to a common data quality issue, with clear commit documentation and a focus on maintainable, reusable code components.
