Worked on platform modernization and configuration management across the ubicloud/runner and actions/toolkit repositories, focusing on reliability and future readiness. Delivered a migrated configuration loading system for ubicloud/runner, enabling the application to prioritize updated settings and automatically restart sessions when changes are detected, using TypeScript and Node.js for robust error handling and file I/O. In actions/toolkit, migrated the codebase to an ESM-only module system and upgraded dependencies for Node.js 20 compatibility, updating documentation and tooling to support new usage patterns. These efforts reduced technical debt, improved system resilience, and positioned both projects for smoother integration with modern JavaScript tooling.
