Developed support for the Meraki CW9166I Access Point within the librenms/librenms repository, expanding device discovery and monitoring capabilities. The work involved creating a new device definition in YAML and an SNMP simulation file, enabling automatic detection of this AP model with minimal manual configuration. By integrating seamlessly into existing discovery and monitoring workflows, the contribution broadened Meraki device coverage without introducing regressions. Focused on device discovery, network device support, and SNMP, the implementation maintained code quality and traceability through a single, well-documented commit. This addition enhanced the platform’s ability to support new hardware and improved customer device management options.
