During April 2026, Ltek contributed to the home-assistant/core repository by developing the Ring Camera Live View Snapshots Without Subscription feature. This work enabled users to retrieve fresh snapshots from Ring cameras’ live view without requiring a Ring subscription, addressing a key limitation for non-subscribers. Ltek improved backend reliability by refining the handling of last recording images and ensured robust functionality through comprehensive automated testing. The implementation leveraged Python and focused on API integration and backend development, with careful attention to test coverage to prevent regressions. The depth of the work reflects a targeted, well-structured approach to feature delivery and validation.
