
In March 2025, Ltf200 integrated GLOPOP-S gridded population data into the GEB-model/GEB repository, enhancing the model’s capacity for granular spatial analysis. Using Python and YAML, Ltf200 updated the data catalog to support new grid data paths and restructured the model setup to efficiently load and process gridded data. The work included optimizing agent data processing by subsetting households by unique grid cells and introducing a setup step for farmer household characteristics. Ltf200 also improved build configuration for reproducible deployments and performed targeted code refactoring. The changes deepened the model’s analytical capabilities and improved maintainability without introducing new bugs.
