During November 2025, Luca developed OAuth token authentication for the Claude engine in the githubnext/gh-aw repository, enabling users to authenticate using either a CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN or ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. This work involved updating Bash and Go code to handle new token management logic, as well as revising documentation and GitHub Actions workflows to support the enhanced authentication process. By introducing flexible token-based authentication, Luca improved security and reduced onboarding friction for Claude engine users. The project demonstrated practical application of API integration, workflow automation, and DevOps practices, delivering a focused, well-documented feature without addressing bug fixes during this period.
