Worked on stabilizing the build configuration for the Esri/harfbuzz repository, focusing on ensuring explicit version propagation throughout the build process. Addressed a bug by applying a targeted patch to harfbuzz-config.cmake.in, setting the HarfBuzz version centrally to prevent version drift. Leveraged skills in build system configuration and cmake to improve build reproducibility and reliability across continuous integration environments and downstream consumers. The approach involved coordinating changes between cmake and Meson build scripts, ensuring consistent versioning regardless of environment. This work enhanced the maintainability of the build system, reducing potential inconsistencies and supporting smoother integration for dependent projects and CI pipelines.
