Over a two-month period, contributed to the palantir/osdk-ts repository by building foundational media processing capabilities in TypeScript. Developed a Media Transformation API supporting image resizing, video transcoding, and audio transcription, establishing a scalable approach for handling diverse media types. Enhanced the SDK with a fetchFullMetadata method, enabling comprehensive, type-specific metadata retrieval and aligning the TypeScript implementation with its Python counterpart. Focused on robust API design, type safety, and runtime validation to ensure reliable cross-media workflows. Emphasized software testing and documentation refinement, resulting in improved data fidelity and standardized media handling for downstream applications and cross-platform consistency.
June 2026: Delivered the Fetch full media metadata API (Media.fetchFullMetadata) in palantir/osdk-ts, aligning the TypeScript SDK with the Python SDK and adding runtime validation for media metadata to ensure robust handling across media types. This work enhances data fidelity for downstream apps, enables richer media workflows, and establishes a strong foundation for cross-language metadata parity.
