During February 2025, Lukas Hoehl developed a Kubernetes API proxy connectivity test within the gardener/gardener-extension-networking-cilium repository. He implemented a shell-based function to verify access to the Kubernetes API server through the apiserver-proxy, integrating this test into the existing continuous monitoring loop. By focusing on Kubernetes, network testing, and automated testing workflows, Lukas enhanced the system’s ability to proactively detect proxy-related connectivity issues before they impact production.
