During February 2026, Darko Lulic enhanced build configurability and runtime resource management in the rdkcentral/meta-rdk-video repository. He developed a feature enabling dynamic tags (dtags) configurability and updated the Web Inspector resource loading mechanism, allowing environment-driven toggles for dynamic features. Using C++ and CMake within embedded systems, Darko implemented RUNPATH handling to ensure correct runtime library resolution when new dtags are enabled by a distribution. This work reduced the build footprint in selective environments and improved deployment flexibility, laying the foundation for scalable asset management across devices. The contribution demonstrated thoughtful depth in build and runtime engineering.
