In November 2024, Milosh updated theepicsaxguy/homelab by enabling Cert-manager Gateway API CRDs, focusing on modernizing the control plane configuration. He removed deprecated flags and explicitly enabled Gateway API CRDs, ensuring compatibility with the latest Gateway API specifications. Using DevOps practices and Kubernetes expertise, Milosh added the required Gateway API manifests in YAML, which improved the reliability and operational stability of gateway routing. This work addressed technical debt by aligning the cert-manager configuration with current standards, reducing operational risk and preparing the deployment for future scalability. The depth of the update reflects a targeted, standards-driven engineering approach.
