Worked on enhancing ephemeral resource management in the kanisterio/kanister repository by adding support for applying ephemeral configurations to Kubernetes resources such as NetworkPolicy, Service, PVC, and Pod. Leveraged Go and Kubernetes APIs to refactor error handling within the applier logic, improving robustness and debuggability. Introduced a PrepareAndRunPod utility to streamline pod creation and execution across Kanister functions, resulting in a more modular and maintainable codebase. These changes enabled faster and safer deployment of ephemeral configurations, reducing friction during cluster operations. Focused on backend development and cloud native patterns, the work emphasized flexibility, maintainability, and improved deployment workflows.
