During June 2025, Stitch focused on backend development and debugging for the google/syzkaller repository, addressing a critical issue in coverage reporting for out-of-tree modules. By analyzing and refining the handling of compile unit names, Stitch corrected the logic that previously concatenated absolute paths redundantly, which had led to inaccurate coverage data in the web UI. This targeted bug fix, implemented in Go, improved the reliability and clarity of coverage metrics without introducing risk to other components. The work demonstrated strong code analysis skills and contributed to more maintainable coverage reporting, reducing future maintenance costs and enhancing the accuracy of test results.
