During December 2025, Xqi developed and delivered an auto-update capability for the Kiro application within the Homebrew/homebrew-cask repository, focusing on improving the installation and update experience for macOS users. By integrating Homebrew Cask packaging with Ruby scripting, Xqi enabled seamless updates through the auto_updates flag and introduced a dedicated CLI binary target, streamlining both user onboarding and developer workflows. The work emphasized clear commit practices and maintainable code, resulting in a more transparent distribution process. No major bugs were reported, reflecting a focused and well-executed feature addition that enhanced traceability and simplified ongoing maintenance for the Kiro package.
