During September 2025, Mageekbox developed a feature for the traefik/traefik-helm-chart repository that enables the Traefik Hub admission controller to source its TLS certificates from an existing Kubernetes Secret. This approach leveraged Helm and Kubernetes to allow users to manage their own certificate lifecycle, rather than relying on chart-generated certificates. By implementing this change using bash and yaml, Mageekbox improved the flexibility and security of certificate management, aligning the workflow with established secret-management practices. The work demonstrated a solid understanding of Kubernetes secret integration and Helm chart customization, addressing operational requirements for secure and maintainable TLS provisioning in production environments.
