Worked on the TheAlgorithms/Python repository to address edge-case handling in the pigeonhole_sort.py algorithm, focusing on improving robustness when processing empty input lists. Applied Python programming and algorithm development skills to deliver a targeted bug fix that ensures the sort function behaves predictably for all input scenarios. Enhanced output formatting to improve readability for end users, aligning the implementation with project standards. Integrated continuous integration tooling and pre-commit hooks to maintain code quality and automate issue detection during pull requests. This work reinforced the maintainability and reliability of the codebase, with particular attention to data structures and clean, readable Python code.
