During a two-month period, Maienm contributed backend features to the Radarr/Radarr and rommapp/romm repositories, focusing on authentication, metadata management, and database optimization. In Radarr/Radarr, Maienm enhanced NFO/XBMC metadata exports by adding TMDB Collection ID support, improving collection organization. For rommapp/romm, Maienm implemented OpenID Connect-based dynamic user roles, enabling flexible role assignment from authentication tokens and configurable setup flows. Additionally, Maienm refactored platform data loading in rommapp/romm, switching from joinedload to selectinload in SQLAlchemy to reduce query overhead and improve performance on large datasets. The work leveraged C#, Python, and advanced SQL techniques for scalable, maintainable backend systems.
