April 2025: Security-focused and interoperability-driven month for OpenID4VP. Delivered a DCQL-first query workflow by removing PE as a query option, tightened DCQL value-matching to prevent information leakage while ensuring user interaction on all requests, and added support for presenting credentials without holder binding via a new control parameter. Documentation and examples were updated to reflect the DCQL standard and the new presentation flow. These changes reduce risk, simplify integration for relying parties, and align with evolving verifiable credential standards.

March 2025: Documentation enhancement for OpenID4VP focusing on Verifier Attestation JWTs; clarified iat, exp, and nbf claims to improve guidance for implementers; applied editorial fixes to improve readability and precision of the spec. These changes reduce integration risk and improve maintainability of the OpenID4VP documentation.

January 2025 — OpenID4VP: Focused on clarifying and documenting claims path pointers for credential selection across JSON-based and ISO mdoc-based credentials. Deliverables include a documentation refactor that defines structure, processing rules, and removes redundant mdoc-specific parameters from the claims query, improving developer experience, onboarding, and maintainability. This work strengthens API usability, accelerates integration with third-party credentials, and enhances traceability of changes through a targeted commit.
