During June 2025, Florian Schneider upgraded the apsystems library from version 2.6.0 to 2.7.0 within the home-assistant/core repository, focusing on both main and test requirements. This work centered on Python dependency management and version pinning, ensuring the project remained compatible with the latest library features and fixes. By addressing cross-repository requirements and release engineering, Florian improved the stability and forward compatibility of the codebase, reducing build risks and preparing the project for future enhancements. Although no user-facing bugs were fixed, the targeted upgrade demonstrated careful attention to dependency health and long-term maintainability within a Python-based environment.
