Makki Khorchani developed an end-to-end SPEI data processing pipeline for the lter/lterwg-resilience repository, focusing on automating the download, extraction, and integration of NetCDF climate data with site information to produce a consolidated CSV output. Using R and leveraging skills in data management, NetCDF handling, and cloud storage integration, Makki incorporated Leaflet-based visualization to map site locations, supporting quality assurance and data exploration. The workflow included automated distribution by uploading results to Google Drive, with updated storage paths for improved data governance. This work streamlined data access and sharing, reducing manual intervention and enabling more efficient downstream analytics for collaborators.
