During December 2024, Mantass worked on the cadence-workflow/cadence repository, delivering a feature that introduced a configurable Host Selection Policy for the Cassandra NoSQL plugin. By adding a new ClusterConfig field and integrating it with the toGoCqlConfig parsing and application path, Mantass enabled runtime customization of how Cassandra hosts are selected for queries. This backend development effort, implemented in Go and leveraging the gocql driver, improved query reliability, load distribution, and operational control for Cassandra-backed storage. The work demonstrated a focused approach to database configuration, addressing system resilience and scalability through targeted, well-integrated enhancements rather than broad architectural changes.
