Worked on the Kilo-Org/kilocode repository to enhance subagent resilience and improve test reliability for long-running orchestration tasks. Developed a resumable subagent error workflow by surfacing a task identifier on failure, updating both foreground and background task logic to include resume hints, and adding comprehensive tests to verify correct behavior. Addressed test reliability by cleaning up test annotations, deduplicating resume hints, and synchronizing asynchronous parent prompts to prevent duplicate resumes. Utilized TypeScript, Bun, and Effect-TS to implement robust backend solutions and thorough unit testing, enabling quicker recovery from partial failures and increasing overall trust in the orchestration system.
