Nova developed the Steam Friends Status Widget for the glanceapp/community-widgets repository, delivering a scalable front end component that displays real-time Steam user activity and status. Using HTML and YAML, Nova integrated with the Steam API to fetch and present up to 100 friends’ statuses, implementing a collapsible interface after five entries to maintain dashboard clarity and performance. The widget enhances user engagement by providing immediate visibility into friends’ gaming activity, supporting quick social insights within the app. Nova’s work aligned with the existing widget framework, demonstrating proficiency in API integration and widget development while focusing on maintainability and user experience.
