Worked on enhancing error handling and inference reliability for speech-to-text (STT) events in the livekit/agents-js repository. Developed support for numeric error codes within the STT error event schema, allowing the inference module to process and diagnose errors with greater clarity. Leveraged TypeScript and front end development skills to implement these changes, including comprehensive tests that validate numeric error codes from STT server events. Focused on improving the reliability and observability of the STT error pathway, which contributes to clearer diagnostics and faster incident resolution.
