Worked on improving automation reliability for the ls1intum/tum-apply repository by addressing a misconfiguration in the Renovate dependency update tool. Focused on configuration management and DevOps practices, the developer identified and resolved issues in the JSON-based Renovate configuration that had previously caused inconsistent dependency updates. By fixing this automation, they enabled secure and consistent updates without manual intervention, reducing vulnerability exposure and maintenance overhead. The work involved careful Git hygiene and clear documentation of changes, ensuring that the repository’s dependency management process is both reliable and maintainable. This contribution strengthened the project’s security posture and streamlined ongoing maintenance efforts.
