Worked on stabilizing build and test tooling for the Zephyr4Microchip/zephyr and zephyrproject-rtos/west repositories, focusing on improving error visibility and test reliability. Addressed two critical bugs by enhancing error handling and logging, specifically ensuring CMake execution errors are now logged and surfaced rather than discarded. Utilized Python scripting and debugging skills to remove unnecessary test initialization calls, which reduced re-initialization issues and improved CI stability. The approach emphasized disciplined commit practices and clear diagnostics, laying the groundwork for future fixes aligned with project roadmaps. This work contributed to more reliable automated testing and streamlined troubleshooting for ongoing development efforts.
