Worked on the cjpais/handy repository to enhance onboarding and recording reliability by developing an audio input availability check integrated directly into the recording flow. Leveraging Rust and TypeScript, implemented robust device detection and multilingual user messaging, ensuring that users receive clear, localized error states when no audio input device is detected. Focused on audio processing, error handling, and internationalization, the solution updated the user interface to reduce confusion during initial device setup. This work laid the foundation for broader user support and smoother onboarding, addressing a key usability gap and improving the resilience of the recording experience across different languages.
