During April 2026, contributed to the spring-projects/spring-integration repository by developing a feature that enables configurable allowed-origin patterns for the WebSocket Server, addressing cross-origin security and deployment flexibility. The work involved extending the ServerWebSocketContainer with a new originPatterns field and updating the container configuration APIs to propagate these patterns through registerWebSocketHandlers when set. Unit tests were added to validate both code paths related to origin pattern handling, ensuring robust coverage. The feature was backported to the 7.0.x branch using Git-based release practices. Technologies applied included Java, Spring WebSocket internals, backend development, and comprehensive unit testing.
